Once you have approved the concept plan then the designer takes that and creates detailed drawings that any licensed landscape contractor can accurately bid from. These detailed drawings come in two forms, hardscape and planting. The hardscape plan should show dimensions of all the hard surfaces in your garden and indicate the exact type of materials to be used. The planting plan will show the exact location of the plants as well as have a legend that shows the name, size and quantity of the plants.
